Editing an MOC

Any field in an MOC can be edited while in the New, Evaluation, or Collaboration stages by its originator, Implementation Manager, a MOC Power User, or a MOC Super User.

After the Approval stage has been started, Power and Super users can only the following fields:

  • Change attachments and equipment.
  • Change tag, work order, expected completion date, and extend a temporary MOC expiration date once.
  • Change the originator or the implementation manager. This is not very common, but useful when an originator or an implementation manager is no longer with your company.
  • Add Approvers following those who have already approved.
  • Edit Implementers of incomplete implementation requirements. New requirements can also be added but not deleted.
  • Complete an implementation requirement on behalf of an Implementer.

If Power or Super users need to change anything beyond what is listed above, you must void the MOC using the void button, and resubmit it from the Voided folder.

An exact copy of it will be placed in the new stage in the In Process folder.

After the Approval stage has been started, super users can edit any fields on the MOC details as well as reassigning tasks that are in an "inbox" status.

After the Evaluation stage has been started, an MOC cannot be deleted, only voided.

You can only delete an MOC in the new stage which has not gone through pre-approval.
