Sign Off on Event Notice

The Send Event Notices feature can be used to notify anyone impacted by the event and can only be sent out once per event.

Anyone sent an event notice will be required to review the event summary and acknowledge the event by signing-off from their Frontline Desktop Training tab. This feature is useful to help people learn from the event or to communicate complete events such as audits or deficiencies found.

Send Event Notice Process

  1. Originator or team leader (for their events) or a power user (for any event), when necessary, can send notices for in-process events during any stage and for completed events for which notices were never sent out (notices can only be sent out once for a particular event). This is done via Send Event Notices link provided in the in process and completed event form view. Originator or team leader who close-out an event is also provided this link on the Close Out Event page.
  2. As part of the notification process, a prerequisite training item may be added to the send event notice.
  3. Event notification is added as an ACT training item to the notified people's Frontline Desktops under the training tab. The notification will contain a link to the pre-requisite training item, if selected.

How to Sign Off on an Event Notification

Note: If there is a pre-requisite training item for this ACT event notification, complete it first. A pre-requisite is a training item that you must complete prior to signing off on an ACT event notification. Pre-requisite may have been added by the team leader via the Send Event Notices link that is available for in-process and completed events, or while closing out an event.

  1. Select the Event Title under the Training tab of the Frontline Desktop.
  2. Select View Event Notice and Sign Off.
  3. Review the event details, any attachments, completed action items, and resolution notes. Click Sign Off near the bottom of the event summary page.

ACT event training assignment is removed from the Frontline Desktop and a training record is written with the result of "View". The training record confirms the users acknowledgment.
