SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) was initiated in 1999 as a way to facilitate the integration and interoperability of web-based learning content with an LMS.
About SCORM Courses
Frontline's LMS allows you to upload SCORM courses for online Web-Based Training. SCORM content can be created in software such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate, iSpring Suite, TalentLMS, and more.
Upload Requirements
- To upload a SCORM course to Frontline, the following requirements must be met:
- SCORM version 1.2 must be used to create content
- Content must be stored in a Zip file that includes an imsmanifest.xml file
- adlcp:scormtype must be defined in the Zip file so that Frontline LMS can determine which page to launch
- Must report Pass/Fail to record learner's score in Frontline LMS
- If there is a quiz in the SCORM course, uploaded file will need a mastery score defined
- File name must not include any of the following characters: & # % +

Troubleshooting SCORM Course Issues
- If a SCORM course has been uploaded and won't play in Frontline LMS, use Rustici Software SCORM Cloud to test the course.
- Make sure that the content was created using SCORM version 1.2.
- Ensure you have uploaded a zip file, and that the zip file does not contain any of the following special characters: & # % +
- Confirm the uploaded zip file contains an imsmanifest.xml file.
- All of the required fields on the Training Item Information page must be filled out.
