[MOC Settings](https://help.fldata.com/kb/management-of-change-moc?hsLang=en#moc-settings) # Reassign MOC Tasks ## The Reassign MOC Tasks feature allows administrators to permanently reassign one or more MOC tasks and roles to a different person, typically when the originally assigned person has left the company or moved to a different position. Tasks refer to current MOC assignments and action items, while roles refer to a person's inclusion in MOC profiles, form action items, Pre-Approval shortcuts, and route nodes. ### **Key Features** **Tasks vs. Roles** - **Tasks** are current active MOC assignments and action items on the assignee's desktop. - **Roles** are the person's inclusion in MOC profiles, form action items, Pre-Approval shortcuts, and route nodes. Roles can result in future tasks and action items if not reassigned. **Batch Reassignment** - When you initiate a reassignment, the system scans all tasks and roles for the selected person and highlights only those that are applicable — making it easy to reassign multiple items at once. - You can reassign all tasks and roles to a single person, or select only specific items. - By repeating the process, you can reassign tasks from one person to multiple people over time. **Reassignment History** - All reassignments are stored and accessible via the **View History** button. - History makes it easy to track reassignments to multiple people over time and provides a record of who tasks were transferred to and why. --- ### **How to Reassign MOC Tasks** **Important: Reassigning tasks is permanent and cannot be undone. If you need to temporarily transfer MOC tasks and action items to another person, use the Agent List setting instead.**  1. Go to **Settings \> Reassign MOC Tasks** in the MOC module menu. Step 1 of the two-step process will be displayed. > **Tip:** If you are reassigning tasks in batches and want to review what has already been transferred, click **View History** before proceeding. 2. Enter a few characters of the **Existing Assignee's** last name and select them from the drop-down results. A green checkmark indicates a valid person has been selected. 3. Enter a few characters of the **New Assignee's** last name and select them from the drop-down results. A green checkmark indicates a valid person has been selected. 4. Click **Next** to proceed to Step 2. 5. Review the applicable tasks and roles displayed across the following sections and check the boxes for the items you want to reassign: - **In-Process MOCs** - **In-Process MOC Action Items** - **MOC Form Action Items** - **Profiles** - **Other** > **Note:** Items that are not applicable for the selected existing assignee will not be selectable. 6. Click **Previous** if you need to change either assignee. Otherwise, enter a **Reason for Change** — this is stored in the reassignment history for future reference. 7. Click **Reassign Tasks**. 8. A table will display listing all reassigned MOC tasks, with the most recent reassignment at the top. 9. Click **Close** to return to Step 1 and repeat the process to reassign additional tasks.
