Mobile Application Offline Functionality
The mobile application supports limited functionality when a device is not connected to the internet. This allows users to continue working on certain Events, Action Items, and MOC tasks even when connectivity is unavailable.
When the device loses internet connection, the application automatically enters Offline Mode. Work completed while offline is saved locally on the device and will automatically synchronize once the device reconnects to the internet.
Offline Mode Indicators:
-
When the application detects that the device is offline, the following indicators will appear:
-
An Offline Mode banner is displayed at the top of the screen.

-
Tapping the banner will display an Offline Mode alert.

-
An offline icon appears indicating the device is currently offline.
If a user logs into the mobile application while offline, an Offline Mode alert will appear. This alert will only display once per session.
-
Supported Actions While Offline:
ACT Offline Functionality
While in Offline Mode, users can:
-
- Submit an Event from a shortcut
- Update Action Items
- View Event Summaries
Tasks not supported offline will display a message instead of being completed.
MOC Offline Functionality
While in Offline Mode, users can:
-
- Submit an MOC
-
- Update a Requirement
- View MOC Summaries
Unsupported Actions
Some tasks cannot be completed while offline:
-
Event and MOC tasks such as:
-
Start stage
-
Take Action on Approval or Collaboration tasks
-
These tasks can still be opened to view the summary, but the completion button is disabled:

Offline Synchronization
When your device reconnects to the internet, any work you completed while offline automatically begins syncing.
-
The app handles this in the background, so you can continue working normally.
-
You’ll see a small offline icon indicating that syncing is in progress.
Successful Sync
Once offline work is successfully synced:
-
All your offline updates are now saved in the system.
-
The offline icon disappears, letting you know everything is up-to-date.
No action is required — the app automatically completes the sync for you.
Sync Conflicts
If some offline work cannot be synced (for example, the task was already completed online):
-
The app will notify you of the affected items.
-
You can still view the saved work, but it cannot be submitted.
This only happens in rare cases; most offline work will sync automatically.
