Event Summary

The Event Summary provides a complete, at-a-glance view of an ACT Event and its entire lifecycle, from creation through close-out. It displays all Event details, stage statuses, action items, attachments, and role player activity in a single scrollable page, making it the go-to reference for tracking the progress of any Event.

How to Access the Event Summary

The Event Summary can be accessed from two places:

From the Event Details screen:
Click View Summary in the toolbar at the top of any Event in the In Process or Completed folder.

From an assigned task:
When completing an assigned ACT task from your Frontline Desktop, click View Event Summary before taking action to review the full context of the Event before making a decision.

What's on the Event Summary

Event Workflow Progress Bar

At the top of the summary, a visual workflow diagram shows all stages of the Event lifecycle and highlights the current active stage. Completed stages are indicated with a checkmark, and the current stage is highlighted so you can see exactly where the Event stands at a glance without opening each stage individually.

Stages displayed include:

Event Information

The top section of the summary displays the core Event details entered at creation, including:

  • Title and Event Number
  • Category and Form
  • Originator and Team Leader
  • Current Stage
  • Priority and Division
  • Account and Work Order Number
  • Approval Start Date and Implementation Start Date
  • Estimated Cost and Cost Comments

General

Displays the descriptive fields entered when the Event was created:

  • Description – A summary of the Event.
  • Equipment Affected – Any equipment involved in or impacted by the Event.

Event Details

Displays the completed Smart Form associated with the Event, showing all fields and responses entered by the user when the Event was submitted. This includes any radio button selections, checkbox answers, and free text responses captured on the form. This section provides the complete record of what was reported at the time of submission and is useful for auditing and review purposes.

Attachments

Lists all documents attached to the Event, organized by the stage in which they were uploaded. Each entry shows the Event Stage, File Name, Date, and who uploaded it. Attachments can be clicked to open and review the document directly from the summary.

An Add Attachment button is available in the upper right corner of the section, allowing role players to upload additional supporting documents directly from the summary view without navigating back into the Event.

Additional Forms

Displays any supplemental forms that have been added to the Event beyond the primary Event form. An Add New Form button in the upper right corner allows authorized users to attach additional forms to the Event directly from the summary.

Collaboration

Displays all Collaborators and their participation in the review in a table showing:

  • Collaborator name.
  • Order, Status, and Action.
  • Action By, Date, and Comments.

A View All Comments button appears in the upper right corner of the section, opening a consolidated view of all comments and attachments left by Collaborators during the Collaboration stage. A checkmark on the left side of the section header indicates the Collaboration stage is fully complete.

Approval

Displays all Approvers and their decisions in a table showing:

  • Approver name.
  • Order, Status, and Action taken (Approve, Disapprove, or Pending).
  • Action By, Date, and Comments.

If an Approver added comments when taking action, those comments are visible here, providing a full audit trail of the approval decision process. A checkmark on the left side of the section header indicates the Approval stage is fully complete.

Implementation

Displays all Action Items associated with the Event's Implementation stage in a table showing:

  • Action Item name — clickable to view the details of the action item.
  • Assigned To and Order.
  • Type (Critical or Non-Critical) and Priority.
  • Risk Ranking, Status, and Action.
  • Action By, Action Date, Due Date, and Comments.

Action items marked as Critical must be completed before the Event can move forward. Action items marked as Non-Critical must be completed before the Event can be fully closed out. The Priority and Risk Ranking fields provide additional context about the urgency and severity of each action item, helping teams prioritize their work. A checkmark on the left side of the section header indicates all Implementation action items are complete.

Event Notes

A free-text section where any role player can add notes to the Event at any time throughout its lifecycle. Notes are date and time stamped and attributed to the person who added them. Click Add Note in the upper right corner of the section to add a new note. Notes are useful for capturing context, decisions, or communications that don't belong in a specific action item or form field.
