Manage Contractors

As a Contractor Administrator one of your biggest responsibilities is to manage your Contractors.

Within Manage Users section you are able to perform administrative functions such as view the users' assigned trainings, reset their password, change their photo, inactivate and even login as them.

How to Manage an existing Contractor

  1. On the Contractor Administrators desktop, select Manage Users
  2. This will be a list view of all Contractors in the site. Select the user you wish to manage.

Below is a list of administrative functions a Contractor Administrator can perform:

  • Select User Training Items to view all assigned trainings to that user. 
  • Select CSM Admin to mark this user as a CSM admin. This will change their role from a Contractor to a Contractor Administrator. 
    • To learn more about the CSM roles, see the CSM Roles Article.
  • Select Reset Password to reset the user's password to the default. Provide this to the user and they will be prompted to create their own unique password.
  • Select Login As.. to login as that Contractor. 
  • Select Inactivate to deactivate this user. This is typically recommended compared to deleting the user entirely.

Inactive users will not take up seats on your license count.

  • Drag and Drop photos or select the Choose an imagine file or drag it here to change the user's photo.

How to create a new Contractor

As a Contractor Administrator you have the ability to create new users in the site from the Manage Users section. This will be the same as if you were inviting users from the desktop.

  1. On the Contractor Administrators desktop, select Manage Users
  2. This will be a list view of all Contractors in the site. Select New.
  3. Enter the required fields marked with an asterisk *
  4. Select the persons correct Company, Division and Account
  5. Enter in any optional fields on the screen.
  6. Select Save.

For full name and user ID, follow the same naming convention as existing people.
